Dear St. Madeline Family,
As I wish you a Merry Christmas, I want us all to have a SAFE and MERRY CHRISTMAS! I appreciate your prayers, patience, and cooperation during these times. The birth of Christ at Christmas reminds us that Jesus is truly with us and will continue to bless us now and always. God bless you and God bless the St. Mad’s Family.
Peace,
Fr. John Flanagan
The 2021 Mass Book is open!
We are not scheduling face-to-face this year.
You must complete an intention sheet and place it with payment in the Rectory Mail Slot, the US Mail, or in the Sunday collection basket.
Intention sheets may be found at church, or click HERE.
You are permitted to request one Sunday Mass/Holy Day Mass and three Daily Masses.
Praise God! Our churches have reopened for the celebration of Mass and reception of Holy Eucharist.
Here is some helpful information:
We will have all Masses (Saturday 4 PM and Sunday 8:30 AM, 11 AM, and 5 PM). The 4 PM will be live-streamed, posted on the website, and available throughout the weekend.
The Church is being cleaned and sanitized.
Masks are required at all times when inside St. Madeline Church.
You will need to distance at least 6 feet, except for families. Pews will be distanced so that there will be 3 empty pews between the pew marked with “green” tape for sitting.
The priest and 3 Eucharistic Ministers will distribute Communion to single lines, with distancing. While our guidelines said that we do not have to wear masks, we will be wearing them. The guidelines say that we should not wear gloves. The priest is to use soap and water before Mass. The EMs will sanitize before Communion. We will all sanitize after. Approach the Communion Minister with face-covering in place. Receive the Host in your hand. The Communion Minister is not to touch the communicant. Step to the side (6-feet away; blue tape marked on floor). Remove face covering, consume the Host, and reposition face covering. Return to the pew. Communion is only distributed on the hand.
Play it safe and stay home if you are anxious, sick, elderly, etc. Everyone is still dispensed from the obligation to attend Mass.
“Sanitary Wipes” – we do have these in Church in some pews. You may bring your own or consider donating a container. If you are able, please wipe down your pew and areas that you touched.
“Volunteers” for 3 Church entrances (main and 2 front sides). We need individuals/couples to be outside, or inside, before Mass to help people or answer questions regarding masks, pews, safety procedures. Please contact Eileen Boyle (preprus@comcast.net) or Father Flanagan (frjflanagan@comcast.net).
